PAPAGEORGIOU ATHINA, PhD

Dr Athina N. Papageorgiou, PhD, is Assistant Professor at the department of Tourism Management of the West Attica University. Dr Papageorgiou has a Tourism Management degree from the School of Management and Economics, Department of Tourism Management of the Technological Institution of Crete, an MBA – Tourism Management degree from the Management Department of the University of Piraeus and a PhD degree from the Management Department of Panteion University. Her PhD Thesis was on Alternative Tourism Development through Marketing Management of Tourism Organizations, Institutions and Enterprises of the Public and the Private Sector. She has worked as a Senior Manager in leading tourism enterprises and was scientific collaborator at Piraeus University (e-learning Program on Tourism Management), Open University and University of West Attica
(Postgraduate Programs). She is the author or co-author of six books on topics of her interest and also a large number of papers (in peer-reviewed journals) and scientific communications.
